GoForward is an innovative alternative in the shipping industry. An industry where mistrust has thrived for too long. Mistrust leads to decreased loyalty from carriers towards forwarders, thus reducing the quality for the cargo owners. At the same time, cargo owners often need to rely on forwarders, in order to be able to navigate in the shipping industry, which has been increasingly digitalized. GoForward offers a full range of shipping solutions – characterized by transparency and reliable agreements.

How we ensure mutual trust
Trust and transparency are our key values here at GoForward Group. We know from experience that agreements signed directly between the cargo owners and the carriers lead to the highest degree of commitment. These agreements have the highests success rates – also during periods of time where the market is challenged.
That is why at GoForward Group we facilitate direct contracts between cargo owners and carriers. When it is beneficial, we team up in joint meetings (cargo owners – GoForward Group – carrier) ensuring solid agreements and a high level of loyalty. We see ourselves as mediating forwarders.
Prior to making agreements with potential clients, we map your need and priorities in details. We make sure that your are fully equipped to determine the critical parameters of your cargo alongside with us. Then we can decide, which option is the best one for your cargo. We have many years of experience from the industry, so we can advise you in all aspects when choosing your logistic solution.

We insist on creating value for all our customers. When dealing with simple shipments that do not require a forwarder, we are more than happy to assist clients with establishing a direct contact with a recommended carrier. We believe that this is the most sustainable business model – and that this is how we work best.

History
March 2017
GoForward was established in March 2017 by the two founders Klaus Jakobsen and Jacob Hesse.
Klaus and Jacob has a combined experience of over 45 years from the container shipping industry and from these experiences the dream of creating a “unique freight forwarder” arose. A freight forwarder who created a bridge between the customer and the shipping company and where GoForward was only part of the transport when it provided meaning and value for both the customer and the shipping company.
March 2020
GoForward Logistics opened in March 2020. The company was founded by GoForward together with Patrick Schmidt and Christopher Jessen.
Christopher and Patrick have over 30 years of experience from the industry & unlike Klaus & Jacob, their experience comes from the freight forwarding industry. Like GoForward, GoForward Logistics has a burning desire to be “A Different Freight Forwarder”. A mediating freight forwarder. A partner who, with openness, honesty and transparency, can build a bridge between the shipping companies and the customer.
May 2022
GoForward AirSea opened in May 2022. The company was founded by GoForward together with Thomas Brix and Troels Rasmussen.
Thomas MUST be THE person in the Danish freight forwarding business with most connections around the world. Always on the lookout for new business opportunities and always available no matter when and how. Troels is the calm and cool guy that keeps all the pieces together and makes sure that high standards are delivered at all times. Troels has an extremely trustworthy personality to the benefit of clients and co-workers. GoForward AirSea does all kinds of freight forwarding, but specializes in FCL (FE import and crosstrade) and AIR-FREIGHT. COURIER, LCL and ROAD solutions are also high on the list of skills.
